First Aid at Work Qualification

Course Details

First aid at work training courses are suitable for anyone who has volunteered or been nominated by their employer to fulfil the statutory duty of care as laid down by the health & safety executive (first aid regulations 1981). There is a final assessment to be undertaken by each delegate.

Duration:

First aid at work training courses are normally delivered over 3 days. The certificate is valid for 3 years.

Time:

Variable, but usually 9am - 4.30pm.

Attendees:

16 years and above. Mixed sex, various learning abilities

Attendee Requirements:

Candidate must conform to the HSE criteria and pass a final assessment.

Record Keeping:

Attendance records will be kept and a certificate of competence will be issued to successful candidate, valid for three years.

Aims of Course:

To enable candidate to give adequate and efficient first aid to a casualty following an injury or illness using material to hand and HSE approved first aid equipment.

Certificates:

Our certificates hold the necessary FAIB approval number: 73/07(372), for the workplace.

First Aid at Work Requalification

Course Details

First aid at work requalification training courses are suitable for anyone who has previously undertaken a First Aid at Work course and has an in-date First Aid at Work Certificate when attending. This course can be undertaken up to 3 months prior to the renewal date, and the extra time is added to the new certificate date. A final assessment is undertaken by each delegate.

Basic Skills Update courses are highly recommended by the HSE, for each of the middle two years, for those delegates whom have previously undertaken either the Emergency First Aid at Work course or the First Aid at Work Qualification.

Basic Skills Update courses are normally delivered over 3 hours. The certificate is valid for 1 year.

Time:

Variable, but generally between 9am and 4.30pm

Attendees:

16 years and above, mixed sex, various learning abilities who hold an in date valid first aid certificate.

Record Keeping:

Attendance records will be kept.

To enable candidate to refresh their knowledge in giving adequate and efficient first aid to a casualty following an injury or illness using material to hand and HSE approved first aid equipment.

Course Details

Paediatric First Aid courses are often a requirement for those working with young children, such as nursery/creche assistants.

Paediatric First Aid courses are normally delivered over 2 days. The certificate is valid for 3 years.

Attendee Requirements:

16 years and above, mixed sex, various learning abilities often needed for working with under 5yr old children.
